Under 10/11 come close to victory at Warlingham Mini Festival

A great day was had by the under 10/11 squad who attended the Warlingham Festival. They kicked off the festival with their toughest match against Warlingham. It was a very competitive game and saw them trail 10-0 at half time.

However, they dug in deep and managed to pull it back to 15-10 before letting the home team seal the victory with their fourth try in the final seconds. They did lose 20-10 but they consoled by the fact that they went on to win the tournament.

In their next match, they were able to bounce back with a convincing win over Beckenham, due to some fantastic running and some furious tackling. Their following game play against Wimbledon and Old Alleynians which were also very close affairs.

They didn’t win the tournament, but they captured the hearts of the crowd who gathered to see them. The coaches and parents from the teams admired their tenacity.
We are proud of you all.
